Here we go again...

Well...we got some really great news this week and then I saw this on the state departments website tonight...

On September 27, the Congolese Ministry of Interior and Security, General Direction of Migration (Direction Generale d'Immigration, DGM) informed the U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa that effective September 25, 2013, the DGM suspended issuance of exit permits to adopted Congolese children seeking to depart the country with their adoptive parents. The DGM reports the suspension will last up to 12 months. This suspension is due to concerns over reports that children adopted from the Democratic Republic of the Congo may be either abused by adoptive families or adopted by a second set of parents once in their receiving countries.

This is devastating...

Please start praying that God would perform a miracle.

Oh Lynsey. . . I will be praying for God's intervention. If he can part the sea for Moses and make a way for him, I know he can make a way for you guys. I know you must feel like the breath has been kicked out of you. I'm so sorry. I'll try to call you tomorrow evening.

2008 - We began to
research adoption for the very first time.
2010 - We started researching adoption again.
Jan. 2012 - We decided to diligently pray everyday for God's direction on adoption in our life.
April 2012 - God has called us and we are answering! Here we go!
5/21/12 - Attended an adoption orientation meeting at Commonwealth Catholic
Charities.
5/25/12 - Mailed adoption applications and fees to CCC & EACI and were
approved!
6/4/12 - Mailed completed contract and first half of program fee to EACI.
6/14/12 - First home study meeting.
6/19/12 - Sent in our first batch of paperwork to CCC.
6/26/12 - Sent in another huge batch of paperwork to CCC.
7/24/12 - We completed our adoption classes.
8/2/12 - Our second interview with our social worker.
8/7/12 - Home inspection completed.
8/9/12 - Received a rough draft of our home study.
9/4/12 - Mailed dossier to EAC.
9/27/12 - We had our fingerprinting done for Immigration.
10/2/12 - Officially placed on the waiting list.
10/12/12 - Received Immigration Approval.
12/1/2012 - God has provided ALL of the money we need!
3/1/2013 - God has called us to the DR of Congo and we mailed our paperwork!
3/25/2013 - We first heard about "W".
4/12/2013 - We mailed our completed dossier.
4/19/13 - Received "W's" medical information and news that he may have a sister.
4/26/13 - Received news that "W" has a ten year old sister.
4/29/13 - Made the decision not to accept "W" and his sister after much prayer and discussion with EAC.
5/15/13 - Received a referral for "E"!
5/20/13 - Mailed in referal acceptance documents!
6/27/13 - DRC began issuing exit visas again!!!
9/27/13 - DRC suspended issuance of exit visas.
4/19/13 - Traveled to the DRC.
4/21/14 - Met our girls for the first time!
